I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
My ThankYou sign a noble shield,
Pretending no one sees the sham of
Racial bigotry concealed.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter
We can feign naiveté.
That sign? It isn’t what you think.
‘Cause we would never think that way.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Free to lie about my aims.
I’ll use police as props to cover
Sneaky plans, dishonest games.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
BLM stood in my way.
I banged the drum of law and order,
Certain that would win the day.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Freed from pesky things like facts,
Free to offer up my vision
With spiteful words and hurtful acts.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
I’ll use the Blue, I have no shame.
This nuisance Black Lives Matter movement
Is the culprit, they’re to blame.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Countless ‘Karens’ by my side,
Encouraging their bad behavior,
Relishing them with covert pride.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Deep resentments finally freed,
My fears unleashed, my bias bared,
In every manner, thought and deed.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Knowing I could use a gun,
And guiltless, shoot the enemy,
Protected by the lawless one.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Though a “sucker” I am not.
My sign means Thanks to all in Blue,
Except if they happen to get shot.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Friend of White supremacy,
Free to falsify our language,
Love means hate, lies mean honesty.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Blindly following his advice,
Looking forward to November
When I will be voting twice.
I dreamt I was a Trump supporter,
Stress-free living by the sea,
Where Black Lives Matter not at all,
My sole concern, security.
I finally awoke from this drama,
Now words have meaning, facts are real,
And being a Donald Trump supporter
Is not the way I want to feel.
